Name calling…That’s just bogus

Obama is Muslim, terrorist, Marxist, socialist, communist, unpatriotic, anti-American, even Anti-Christ. Obama is a/an […]. I have to leave that open for tomorrow. The McCain campaign/supporters may still come up with some other name for Obama with the little time left before the election. That’s all a bunch of bollocks. Let me try to answer this stuff one-by-one.

But, is he really Muslim? He came under political scrutiny when his pastor of 20 years said some stuff. In church for 20 years, and you still question his Christianity? And you can still call him terrorist and anti-American by association with Bill Ayers and J. Wright? Why can’t you believe that he is a Christian by association with a church for 20 years?

I was startled after hearing this prayer. How does a Christian question another Christian’s Christianity? This is not because it is from the McCain campaign. If it was from Obama’s, it’s still appalling.

Next, because of the “spread the wealth” comment, he is called Marxist, socialist, and communist? The health care plan that folks term socialist is not actually socialist. It is “universal” health care. You can do the research. I might write about it. But, that’s not all.

He is called unpatriotic and because he doesn’t wear a flag pin, and he did not place his hand over chest (in ONE picture). Quick questions; do you always wear a flag pin? Do you always place your had over your chest for the American anthem? I can bet you answered a “No” to both of those questions. That’s just bogus. I mean, cut him some slack. How come no one questions McCain’s patriotism? Is it because he is a POW? He doesn’t wear a flag pin now, and Obama does. The next name is quite interesting.

He is the Anti-Christ. I cringe every time I hear this from McCain supporters. Why does the Anti-Christ have to be the black guy? I’m just kidding. But, wow!! That’s really bogus. That’s taking it too far. I don’t even know how else to answer this. He was married in a church. He was a member of that church for about 20 years. He is a Christian. He is a Christian. He is a Christian. How else do you want him to explain it? Again, how come no one questions McCain’s Christianity? C’mon…

I’ve got one last thing. I can’t believe I almost forgot this. He is the “most liberal” senator. In the 2004, Bush-Kerry race, John Kerry was called the most liberal senator. Here is the RNC ad that said that, and why that tag was bogus - (http://www.factcheck.org/how_liberal_is_john_kerry.html). Now (2008), Obama is the most liberal senator. And, the Republicans get all these facts from one source, “The National Journal.” Hmmm…I question The National Journal.

I know you might have got an email or heard something that really explains these names. But, if you already dislike Obama, any explanation with a ray of logic will make sense to you. And you will run with these names and explanations. Funny enough, I bet most of us don’t even know what some of these words mean. But, you know they are not compliments, or at least not names you’ll like to be called.

My advice to the McCain campaign is “Stick to one name.” Well, I guess the McCain campaign can’t comply with that. Since, they have a new strategy/plan almost every week on how to run the campaign. I’m just poking (for this paragraph only).

PS: I’m just challenging your beliefs, and points of views. I don’t hate McCain. I can actually argue for McCain with similar passion. Can you do the same for Obama?
